Getting personal branding photos taken for your business is a huge step!
But, you are probably wondering how to dress for your professional photos.
The one thing I see clients struggle with the most is knowing what to wear to look your best in photos. Especially since these are the photos most people use all over social media.
I am going to show you how I coach my clients to choose their outfits and accessories for shoots. As a result, you will have branding photos that WOW! Check out my top tips and tricks right here.
Let’s recap! FOUR easy steps to prepare you for your shoot.
First, take an inventory of your closet.
Chances are you already have exactly what you need in your wardrobe. Which means, no need to go spend more money on one time photo shoot outfits.
Secondly, try on those outfits prior to your shoot!
You might love an outfit for day to day, however for a shoot it might not give you the pop you want. Really make sure to look at fit too. You don’t want bunching, gaps in buttons etc., because those are things your photographer probably can’t, or won’t want to, fix later.
Third, grab those accessories!
Something as simple as a solid tee can wow with statement jewelry, bright shoes, or a belt. I recommend sticking to the classics so your photos wont look dated. You want them to last.
And last, make sure you have a large variety of looks.
This will help you showcase all sides of your brand and business! I always recommend a dress, a blazer, skinny jeans and heels and a casual pair of jeans with a cute t-shirt as the basics. And then you can add on even more options from there.
Does this all sound like a lot!?
