It can be hard to let your personality shine through in your brand because you want to be professional, but you need to differentiate yourself somehow!
Today I’m going to show you exactly how I built my brand over the last 10 years into something that screams “me” and attracts people who have become my stark raving fans by letting my personality shine through.
In my last video (which you can catch here) I talked about how the definition of branding comes down to what other people think and say about you.
And while you can’t totally control that, you can control what YOU choose to say and do on social media and your website to show off your personality and what sets you apart.
Today I am going to share with you 4 simple ways to infuse your personality into your branding to start connecting with people who will become your stark raving fans.
Before I share those tips, you have to realize that YOU are your brand. YOU are the one thing that will set your business apart from a million other photographers, or designers or coaches.
Step #1- Ask your community.
Ask your friends, your family, your customers, your clients…what comes to mind when they think of you?
This doesn’t necessarily have to be business related! Remember, my obsession with RDJ is one of the most known things about me, but has zero to do with my business.
Step #2- Work those words into your branding.
Now that you have a list, find ways to put those words in your tagline, your website copy, your e-mail wording etc. The more you drive home those things that set you apart, those more you begin to attract people who feel the same/ like the same things.
Step #3- Share your story.
Again you are the ONLY person with your story. And the more you share it, the better it gets and the more people you will attract that connect with you.
Tip #4 is SHOW UP.
It’s better to show up and be personal than be so worried about getting everything perfect that you never show up at all. And, if you show up even in just one place consistently, and you will start to attract the people who will become your biggest fans.
